The way we teach
We teach the way we were taught. So which is the best way to teach?
First, enough theory. We need to watch demos, we learn from what we see not so much from what we hear.
Secondly, feel the movement, not the exercise. What is its effect ? On me? On the partners?
Thirdly, forget the consciousness! Rather focus on your internal (feet/hands) and the external (the base or the flyer). What are the consequences of your cues?
Finally, gather these three elements: coordination (internal focus), control and skills (external focus).
What is the goal?
The yoga pose is not the goal...
Becoming flexible is not the goal...
Standing on your hands is not the goal.
The goal is to create space where you were once stuck. To unveil the layers of protection you’ve built around your heart. To appreciate your body and become aware of the mind and the noise it creates. To make peace with who you are. The goal is to love, well… You.

1. Circuit coaching
Give explanation instead of showing
Ask questions : where is your weight?
What do you feel about timing?
Do you find your balance?
2. Planning & building blocks
Scale - more accessible or more challenging
Progression goes through scaling until goal (washing machine)
Ex. Break down or concepts (body mechanics or mouvement patterns )
For star: rolling , tuck in up, receiving the weight, tempo, weight on hands
For barrel: weight shifting, twist, goofy steps for base, leg balancing
Scissoring rolling pouring weight receiving pushing grip balancing alignment tempo
3. Silent Demo
Explains by showing the spotting, the roles
Express physically without talking
Names of the moves? The fun?
3 times right without spotter
If wrong, spotter shows mistakes and correct
Every 3 roles correct
4. Reverse Star
Important Rolling, weight, alignment , tempo
Refinement balance trust grip allow the base to do the balance
Feet and Flyers weight on hands
5. Creative Transitioning and acro language
Easy, short or with three tricks
Ex: Bird to star - Rev bird to chair - Foot to shin to shoulder stand
Draw a graphic with all progressions
Then find different outcomes like a tree
